Beautiful afternoon went for a snowshoe walk to our little cabin in the woods. No sounds except for the birds chirping and one brave squirrel. Excellent exercise I should do this more often.

Happy Family Day to everyone. What a glorious day today for enjoying all the outdoor activities this area as to offer. Unfortunately the snowmobile trails are not in good shape with all the traffic of the past weekend but the groomer has been out in an attempt to try and improve them for up to date information on the trails in the area go to Almaguin District Snowmobile Club. There is still lots of snow in the bush so I am going to put on those snowshoes and go for a trundle this afternoon to our little cabin in the woods.

Still cold in the mornings but we must remember it is only the 3rd week of February.

Spent Saturday night watching the 120 mile dog sled team go past the top of my driveway. Bitterly cold but worth every moment. Had phone veritical should have been horizontal will get it right next year

Just over a week to the first event of 2012 hosted by Kearney,the Dog Sled Races starting on Friday 10th Feb at 7pm with the Family Skate and a Bonfire. Saturday 11th the races start at 10am with the 40 mile mushers and their dogs going out followed by the 4 milers and 6 milers. Lots more taking place with Ski Joring and for the first time this year the Fat-Tire Mountain Bike Snow Race. Refreshments served throughout the day in the Community Centre. At 5pm from the Ball Diamond in Kearney the 120 mile racers leave if you have not seen this before it is amazing!!!!! This year the Kearney Legion will be putting on a Beef Supper with all the trimmings for $12 and $6 for children aged 6 to 12 starting at 4pm tpo 7pm before taking in the excitement of the 120 mile race. First Year Anniversary

As it really been one year since I started my own brokerage apparently, yes!. Last year was a very exciting and successful year and am looking forward to 2012. Lots of new developments in the pipeline for 2012 and will be releasing further details hopefully before the end of 2011 or early 2012.

At the beginning of November I gained the designation of SRES which stands for Senior Real Estate Specialist, this has provided me with the tools and resources to assist anyone in the increasing 50+ market with their important real estate decisions. Kearney Regatta 2011

Events start this evening with the Pre-Teen Party at the Community for the ages 12 and under. Friday 3pm to 5pm is Movies at the Community Centre and 7pm - 11pm Teen Dance Party.
