A Little About Myself

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Jackie McAvoy. I am your local independent real estate brokerage fo rthe Almaguin Highlands (anywhere North of Huntsville).  I started in real estate in 2006 and worked for 5 years for RE/MAX, and decided in 2011 to branch out on my own and start my own brokerage.    I am a member of the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO),  Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and Realtors Association of Ontario Lakelands (formerly MHAR) which is the local real estate board. 

I emigrated from the UK 12 years ago where I worked for 10 years in banking and 10 years in accountancy and my final position was as a Financial Controller for an IT corporation. So I know the value of money and how it needs to be spent wisely. Dollar for dollar real estate has proven to be one of the safest investments with the best return if invested wisely. My philosophy for all real estate transactions is that they deserve the highest degree of service and integrity as it is the most expensive asset that you will acquire or dispose of.   

I have recently gained the designation of Senior Real Estate Specialist so I can provide the growing population of 50+ home buyers and sellers with up-to-date information for a professionally sound and successful real estate transaction

I achieved my dream by building my own log cabin in Kearney (one of the gateways to Algonquin Park).
